Woodruff Family at Christmas

Family Portraits

It's the most wonderful time of the year. The magic of Christmas fills children and their parents with joy and excitement for Christmas day. Joy and laughter fill the air and surround everyone with peace and cheer. Of course, with the Woodruff family, this is typical of their spirit and personality all year long!

I always love it when my clients come back to visit me throughout the year, and the Woodruffs certainly are frequent flyers! I am always thrilled to see them, and I hope that I bless their lives as much as they have blessed mine. Families like theirs are the reason why I love my "job" as much as I do, they're sweet as pie and always an absolute joy to see. These three are no doubt a blessing to everyone they know, and I am sure they are loved by all those whom have the privilege of getting to know them. Of course, their sweet daughter is an absolute doll too!

I swoon over this sweet little girl's big blue eyes every single time I see her and the entire time I spend editing her photos. I mean seriously, check out how they pop! They're so bright and filled with delight, and with her radiant smile, she is definitely the light in her parents' lives. I have been blessed to watch her grow up since she was a newborn, and I can tell you without a doubt she has one of the best little laughs there is to hear. You just can't help but smile when you're around this kid! She and I had fun playing games with the Christmas boxes while she was having her photos taken this Christmas. I always love how easy it is to amuse and play with toddlers, just moving an object is a fun game for them which makes it simple for me to get smiles! Not that this sweet girl ever lacks smiles or a sunny personality. Even if we may have had to bribe her with some Reece's peanut butter cups when some of her favorite cousins showed up, she was still a champ. Truth be told, some Reece's peanut butter cups always make me smile, so I really can't blame her! And if the Reece's don't cut it, turning toddlers upside down and telling them no, no, no is usually pretty funny to them too!

The other thing I love, is when my clients get creative and have fun with their portraits and the Woodruff family never disappoints! I think it's great when families get all cute matching jammies and ham it up for some fun Christmas photos. Of course I never complain either when they go for the well dressed option, or in this case, a mix of both! Alyssa is always a super planner when it comes to her photo shoots and brings all sorts of fun goodies along. And even if he wasn't quite as excited as the rest of us about wearing the Santa hat, John humored everyone and put it on for a few fun ones. But who can really say no to Alyssa, I mean she is seriously one of the sweetest people I know!

John, Alyssa, and lil miss T., thank you so much for allowing me to capture yet another wonderful memory for your family to look back on. You three are a joy and blessing to my life both personally and professionally and I am so thankful to know all of you and can't wait to see you again soon!
