I've said it before, and I will say it again, there is nothing better than a precious little sleeping newborn baby.
They are the most pure picture of innocence that you will ever lay eyes on, and being trusted to capture their first real photos will always be a huge honor for me. Baby Clark's newborn photos were extra special to me because I have been able to capture every part of the journey in his parents' relationship that led to his being on this earth.
It seems like it was only yesterday that I took photos of Kylie and Ross as a happily dating couple. They were one of the most fun, sweet and loving couples I had ever met, and they still are to this day! Coming from that point in their lives to finally seeing the pure joy on their faces as they gaze upon their sleeping rainbow baby is one of the greatest blessings in the world and is my favorite part of what I do. I love, love, love that they have trusted me to tell their story over and over, it truly is the best!!!
Sweet little Clark was an absolute dream baby to photograph. He had the most perfect head of dark hair, and once I wrapped him up he slept like, well, a baby! Being born close to Easter we of course had to put my little bunny outfit to use, and he made the most adorable little bunny! I just loved everything about his teeny tiny little features, from his fingers to his toes, you couldn't look at him and not swoon over him!
Kylie had the cutest personalized blanket for her sweet boy, and I wasn't sad in the slightest that he stayed awake for that portion of his session. He was so expressive and made some faces that really cracked me up! He looked so serious at times, which for being so little seemed quite comical. He certainly felt he needed to watch me when he was awake, and kept track of my every move. Maybe when he's older he'll be a little boss, with his serious face and his supervising eye!
Clark, I am so thrilled that I was able to meet you! You are already so very loved by your family, and I can't wait to watch you grow and see who you will become!! Welcome to the world Clark!!!
