A million dollar smile shining bright like a diamond in the warm Summer sun. The sound of sweet and innocent laughter of a child filled with happiness and love. The anticipation of a special birthday to celebrate her life and all the fun that goes with turning the big three years old.
I had the wonderful joy of meeting sweet miss Skylar earlier this Summer for her baby sister's newborn photos. Skylar rocked her time in front of the camera then, and her birthday session was no different! Skylar has the kind of delightful smile that can brighten even the most sunny Summer day. It's so easy to see her joy for life and kind heart already at such a young age. But then, who wouldn't be happy with a family so filled with love and joy the way her family is!
We had a wonderful time taking her photos on my family farm. Turning three is a big deal when you're only two years old. I can remember being little and thinking every year how I was going to be such a big kid when I turned another year older. Skylar's momma brought her a huge "3" balloon to enjoy for her photo shoot which went perfectly with her outfits. She once again had the most perfect and adorable fashion to show off. Skylar was the best at twirling her dress like a princess. I had to laugh when I asked her who her favorite princess was and her response was herself! As it turns out, her poppy calls her his princess, so of course she is her own favorite princess! I think every little girl (and boy) deserves to be raised and treated with this kind of love and affection so they can grow up believing they can do anything.
Skylar got to show off her big sister skills again for her photo shoot as we got in some time with her baby sister Kensley. For only being three years old, she does a wonderful job with her little sister. It was so easy to see the joy and love she still shares for her sister as she was holding her, and that bond will only grow as they both get older. Even when we were taking photos of Skylar with her family, she wanted to be close to her sister and gaze upon her with love and delight. Skylar sure is a lucky girl to have the wonderful, kind, and loving family she has been blessed with!
