Kelsi + Jim~Married

Wedding, Couples

Wedding days are always beautiful days filled with celebration, joy, excitement, and intimate moments overflowing with love.

Sometimes though, things happen that bump into the happiness of the day, while simultaneously making the day all the more memorable and meaningful. I would have to say that is exactly the kind of day it was when Kelsi and Jim said their I do's to one another.

Jim and Kelsi said their vows to one another on one of the most beautiful Fall days that 2022 had to offer. I swear the leaves popped with color overnight to set the most stunning backdrop for their wedding! In addition to the natural details, these two incorporated so many beautiful details and moments into their wedding day, making it an absolute dream to capture. Kelsi and her bridesmaids got ready at the lovely Sunflower Manor in Sunbury, and it offered some of the most stunning and open rooms flooded with natural light you could imagine to capture the girls getting ready for this special day.

Even better than the area where the girls chose to get ready, was the spot they picked out for their ceremony and to have their first look as well. They chose to share their day at the Little Shamokin Creek Watershed, and it set the scene for a stunning outdoor wedding. While a first look isn't for every couple, it was absolutely perfect for Jim and Kelsi. The pure joy and happiness that showed all over their faces when they saw one another was exactly the reason why first looks are so special. They could see each other and their expression up close and in a private, intimate moment that was all about the two of them and the love they shared. They both took in the whole view of their beloved and relished in this moment and the ceremony to come and you could tell that the rest of the world ceased to exist for a time. It was pure magic!

There was so much about their day that was unique, but I would be lacking if I didn't share about their flower dude! Now don't get me wrong, a cute little flower girl is always adorable and I love them, but this flower dude definitely brought about the biggest laughter I have ever witnessed at a wedding. I will never forget the moment he jumped in the air, clicked his heels together and shouted "Let's go girls!" It was completely epic and made me wish I was videoing too!! He added an incredible amount of energy and you never knew when he was going to unleash handfuls of flowers in the air. The uniqueness of their day didn't end there though. Jim and Kelsi chose to write their vows to one another and they both shared some of the most beautiful, heartfelt vows that I have ever heard. There were very few dry eyes by the time they finished professing their love for one another! But that's still not all! These two shared shots after their vows, and while I didn't catch what all the officiant said prior to each of the 3 shots, I can tell you that it definitely added to the fun and one of a kind aspects of Kelsi and Jim's special day!

With all the fun and laughter that their day had, you might wonder where the bittersweet parts I mentioned came in. After the I do's were said and we moved onto family portraits, Kelsi found out that her beloved grandfather had been unable to make it to the ceremony. He had been dressed and ready to go when his health took a turn that didn't allow him to leave his bed. There were tears and disappointment, but a plan was made to go and see him, and that is exactly what we did! After the formal festivities were all done, we made a trip to his home to surprise him and it was one of the most touching and heartwarming moments of the entire day. I fought back tears as I captured these moments of pure love between Kelsi and her grandfather. It was the most perfect ending to a perfect day!

Kelsi and Jim, your day is not only one I will remember for many years to come, but also one I will hold near and dear to my heart. Thank you so much for trusting us to capture your beautiful day! We congratulate you and wish you many years of happiness and love to come!!!
