Erika + Jeremiah~Married

Wedding, Couples

There are so many things that I simply love about photographing wedding days.

The list is quite long in fact, but at the very top of that list is being able to spend the day photographing two people that are so deeply and thoroughly in love with one another, that their entire being just beams with joy the whole day long. Erika and Jeremiah's wedding day was certainly one filled to overflowing with pure joy and happiness.

Erika and Jeremiah were not only filled with joy on their wedding day, but they were also one of the most easy going couples that you could ever hope to meet. They weren't stressed out over every little detail, Erika most definitely was not a bridezilla, in fact she was the furthest thing from it, and they were both just filled with genuine peace and happiness the whole day long. I think it came from a combination of lots of helping hands to make sure the day went off without a hitch, and also from knowing that the only thing that truly mattered was saying "I do" to their soul mate. Their day was focused on their love for one another, and it made them one of the happiest couples of all!

Erika and Jeremiah opted to share a first look together, and while I never push my couples to do a first look, I do oh so love it when they do. Being able to share a quiet moment together amid the hustle and bustle of the wedding day and enjoy seeing one another before the ceremony without tons of spectators makes first looks so special. The pure happiness in their expressions as they saw each other up close for the first time all ready for their big day was such a beautiful thing to witness. For a few quiet moments it was only the two of them and the rest of the world just melted away. You just can't beat the raw emotions that come through during a first look on a wedding day!

Other than their super sweet first look, I absolutely adored their unity ceremony during the wedding. They opted for a sand ceremony with the most beautiful custom hourglass to hold their sand in, and they didn't just combine sand between the two of them. Erika and Jeremiah included each of their children in the sand ceremony, with each person having their own sand color to contribute. I just loved this beautiful way of symbolizing not only the joining together of Erika and Jeremiah, but also their children coming together as one beautifully blended family. It was such a touching part of the service and tugged at all the heartstrings.

Erika and Jeremiah, we had an amazing time capturing your beautiful day. The two of you are one of the kindest couples anyone could ever hope to meet, and we wish you all the happiness in your future together!
