Even greater than the love felt in a single family, is the love and joy shared across generations of a family.
There are so many special relationships that come out of generations branching off, aunts and their nieces and nephews, cousins, grandparents and their grandchildren. It is a great testament to the bonds that grow and grow out of the love that mothers have for their children.
This particular family is one of my personal favorites, although I may be slightly biased since they are my family too! They are such a fun, loving, and joyful group, you can't help but be happy around them. The kiddos may have had a lot more energy than my pregnant self did at the time, but their joy and laughter was absolutely infectious as we found ways to incorporate play into their session.
One thing is for certain, everyone loves my Aunt Carol the most of all! For many years she has been an incredible mother to her daughters, and for the last several years she has been an even more fun Nonna to her grandchildren. The love she feels for each and every single one of her children and grandchildren is so easy to see in the way she gazes upon them and interacts with them. She has cultivated a lifetime of love for her family and it shows in every fiber of her being.
Being able to grow up with my Aunt Carol's two beautiful daughters, my cousins, I can tell you that they have always shared a strong bond as sisters. I know first hand the joy of having sisters to grow up with, and for Amy and Kelli, they have shared that joy as well and share an even greater bond with one another as adults and mothers. Now they share the joy of raising their children with the special bonds that cousins share, as their love among one another continues to grow with each passing year.
My dear family, thank you so much for allowing me to capture these special memories of the bonds and love that each of you share. Each and every single one of you are a blessing to my life and I am so thankful to have you as my family too!
