One of the most beautiful things about family, is that they are always growing, changing, and evolving. It's one of the most exciting thing, watching children grow to teens, and then to young adults, building lives of their own. Something even more precious than watching children grow up, is when they remain close to their parents and each other as they blossom into adulthood and build relationships of their own.
This group of people was an absolute blast to work with for their photos this past Christmas. Jayme, her daughters, and each of their significant others were so full of energy and laughter, they just filled the studio with pure joy! I always think it's so wonderful when families take time to not only get photos together as the children get older, but also to document the changes as they welcome new faces into the family. I know sometimes it can be hard coordinating schedules and getting adult children on board with getting photos with their parents, but these girls seemed more than happy to indulge their momma with some fresh photos.
Of course, we did have to take time to give special notice to each of the individual relationship within the group. The men were good enough to humor their lovely ladies, so spending some time focusing on each of the couples was a must! The guys didn't seem to mind though, they all seemed more than happy to show their love for their ladies and show their affection for them. One of my favorite parts of photographing larger family groups is taking the time to see the unique relationships within the group, and this group was no exception!
No matter what the age though, you can be sure I am always going to jump on the opportunity for some sibling photos, and some photos of a momma with her kiddos. The love shared between Jayme and her two beautiful daughters was so lovely to capture on camera. Their bright smiles showed how close they still are, and how deeply they care for one another. Jayme raised her girls in a home full of love, and it showed with timeless beauty on each of their smiling faces. The sisterly bond that Kelsey and Taylor share was also so easy to capture, having sisters of my own I know what it's like to grow up with your best friend. It's easy to see that Kelsey and Taylor share a closeness that only sisters who love each other can share. That is a bond that will bless each and everyday, their whole life long.
Jayme, it was such a wonderful blessing to not only witness the beautiful intertwining of the relationships in your family, but also to capture how flawlessly you each interact together. Your family was so lovely to photograph and I am so honored that you all took the time to arrange your schedules and allow me to photograph this special time in your lives. I can't wait to see each of you again soon!
