Noah ~ Class of 2021

Senior

A young man full of joy and excitement for the road before him. Already making the lives of those around him brighter with his ever present smile. Happiness and hope for the future and all that is to come.

I have had the joy of knowing Noah's family for many years, so when his mom reached out to me about his senior photos I was quite excited! He comes from some of the most kind and wonderfully pleasant people I know, and Noah's personality is no different! While many young men have trouble being comfortable and cracking a smile in front of the camera, Noah had a hard time not smiling! He showed a true delight for life, even with tasks less interesting to him, like having his photo taken.

We took Noah's photos on and around his family's farm, and he made sure to pick out only the best spots. We made sure to include some shots to show off the beautiful view of the farm. I always love meeting young people who take pride in the work their family does and in their family's legacy. I also love when my seniors find ways to incorporate things that matter to them into their photos.

Noah is a fellow hunter like me, so I was quite excited when he brought along a pair of guns to have his photos taken with. He had along both his traditional hunting rifle for nostalgia, and his AR for fun! Living in the country and being raised in a hunting family, I can definitely appreciate Noah's choice for his senior photos. Many years ago, I too had my senior photos taken with a pistol that I quite liked. I always find the best photos are the ones that are the most genuine to what matters to whoever it may be that I am photographing.

The other aspect that Noah was obviously passionate about in his life, was his car. He had taken time to wash and shine up his car prior to his photo session so it was all sparkly and clean. I am also learning quickly that car guys are particular about the direction the wheels are turned for their photos, as Noah made sure to turn the wheels so they were just right! I had to laugh when he had his mom dry off the spots of water that were still on the car with her shirt so they wouldn't show in the photos! She was a good sport and cheerfully dried the car to perfection. Noah had equal enthusiasm for his car and his guns in his photos, and it showed quite clearly on his face.

When it comes to all the crazy things happening in this world, the best anyone can do is to stay true to themselves. Noah is already doing a fantastic job at just that as I could tell throughout his whole session. I am so thankful that I had this opportunity to capture this special time in your life Noah. I hope that you will continue lighting up every room you walk into with your smile, and keep following your heart and staying true to the things that matter to you.
