Few things are more manly than some sweet cars and a race track. I mean really, what senior guy wouldn't want his portraits to be this epic?! Connor's senior session was certainly like no other that I have done before it. I was so happy that Connor was willing to give his input and share that some of the usual places I take my portrait sessions at didn't quite fit his vision for his senior portraits. I don't think that anyone should ever settle when it comes to milestones like these. I couldn't have been more excited when Connor and his family suggested that we take his photos at the Selinsgrove Speedway! I always love being able to shoot at a new and unique location, so this was not a spot I was about to turn down. To make things even better, his family was able to bring along two of the coolest cars for his portraits. Everything about the plans fit Connor's fabulous personality.
Connor is such an easy going and jovial guy, he truly made my job easy! Throughout his session, he showed himself to be a very kind and pleasant young man, which comes as no surprise given the personalities of his family members! His family is made up of so many wonderfully joyful and sweet people, and Connor is so like them in this way. We had a blast taking his photos, and it was easy to get some great laughs out of him with the commentary coming from his family as they watched from the side. Having a loving and supportive family is one of the greatest treasures anyone can have, and Connor is definitely blessed with that and much more.
Of the two cars that Connor was able to use for his session, my personal favorite was the Mustang. I am certainly no car expert, I just happen to love both the color and design of this particular car, which if we're being honest, is how I choose most of my vehicles. We enjoyed *carefully* taking photos with the Mustang on the dirt track and were very thankful for the dry weather. Connor looked pretty suave in my opinion with this classic car. I think his easy going and calm personality really was set off by the sleekness of this classic. He looked so natural with it, and I personally think he could be a model with that serious look!
For the Corvette we decided to mix it up and take it to victory lane. Even when he is not in victory lane, Connor is definitely a winner with his super personality. I love meeting people who are down to earth, fun and genuine, and Connor struck me as just that! With an attitude like that as well as not settling for what doesn't quite work for you, he will be able to do great things in life! Sometimes in order to claim the victory in life, you have to be willing to look at what fits your vision and make adjustments to things that simply don't work for you. It takes being willing to say no from time to time and come up with an alternate plan that you're happy saying yes to. If Connor had gone along with one of the usual spots, he would have missed out on this epic senior session and that would have been a tragedy for sure!
I am so thankful to have had the privilege of capturing the special milestone in your life Connor. I can't wait to see what the future holds for you and where you go in your life. I have no doubt that your future will be full of joy, laughter, and success! I wish you the very best and hope your senior year is a fun and memorable one. Lastly, don't ever settle for less than what you're looking for in life or you just might miss out on something grand.
