I always think the happiest couples can take any situation life throws at them, and still face it hand in hand with a smile.
They know that the only thing that truly matters in life, is having someone to love and share it with. Maddy and Blaine are the perfect example of this in every single way.
Looking at these photos, you won't be surprised in the slightest to see a young couple, happy and in love. The setting of Blaine's family home was the prettiest location, with lots of adorable little spots to capture the happy couple. What you don't see, is that we were in the middle of a high wind advisory warning, with severe storms looming and threatening to unleash rain on us at any minute. Sometimes schedules just don't leave room for rescheduling when the weather has a mind of it's own, and when that happens, it is great to have a couple like these two in front of the camera. They made the day look so much brighter with their smiles and laughter, and I wouldn't have wanted to be anywhere else in that moment but photographing the love they shared because it was epic!
Now I would be totally remiss if I didn't mention that they included their beloved pooch in their engagement photos. She kind of stole the show a teensy bit because she was so photogenic, and if you know anything about me, you know I LOVE fur babies!! She was the sweetest puppy, and even though she still has time to grow she was quite a big girl already!! When you try to incorporate your pets into photos, it seems they rarely want to do what you want them to, but this sweet girl understood the assignment and exceeded expectations! We couldn't have asked for a more photogenic and cooperative pup, and to add to the fun, the family cat even joined us for a few photos! To say I enjoyed every minute of this engagement is certainly an understatement.
I think one of the big things for me that made Maddy and Blaine's engagement so special wasn't just the pure joy they shared together, but also the chemistry between them. It was plain to see how perfectly in tune and at ease they were with one another, and it showed through so beautifully in their photos. They weren't awkward or uncomfortable for a single moment, in each others arms is exactly where they were both meant to be, and total stranger photographing them or not, they were happy there. They're definitely my kind of couple, and I can't wait to see them again as they celebrate their love for one another!!!
Blaine and Maddy, today is the day we celebrate the two of you and the love you share together. After meeting you for this incredible engagement session, I can't wait to see your joyous faces again, and I'm extra thankful it's looking like it will be a perfect day for you two!!
