Anyone who knows me, knows that I love animals. The same can be said for my dear friend Emily, so I can’t say I was too surprised when she reached out to me to get some Christmas photos with her sweet cat Felix. Emily and I are kindred spirits, with our love for horses, dogs, cats, goats, and all the sweet and cuddly critters out there. I think we both have also come to realize, that each animal has it’s own special traits that make it unique, and there is just something soothing and wonderful about having a cat.
I have had the joy of watching Emily grow into an amazing young woman the last several years, and one thing is for certain, she appreciates the great comfort and company that comes with having a cat. Felix goes where Emily goes, and is a loving friend to her at all her times of need. They are two peas in a pod, happy and full of love and life. I just LOVED that Emily and Felix had matching Christmas jammies for their photos. Anyone can match their Christmas jammies with their human family, but it takes a special pet loving person to match their jammies with their cat! I think it may have been one of the cutest things I saw all Christmas season!
Felix must have been a very good kitty this year too, because he didn’t just get a new set of Christmas jammies, he got a box full of fancy collars and toys too! We had so much fun and laughed so hard changing out his collars and watching his reactions to them. My favorite was the jester style collar with the jingle bells. I *may* have bought a box of similar goodies for Olive to wear next Christmas after Emily and Felix’s visit
Felix was definitely a great sport about tolerating our antics during his photo shoot. From collars and hats, to being wrapped up in Christmas lights, he handled it all like a champ! He was getting a bit worn out by the end of his close up time and falling asleep, which just added to his cute Christmas morning look. I think Felix’s favorite part of the session was getting to have all the sweet and snuggly photos with his momma Emily. I just loved capturing the bond the two of them shared together, it’s the kind of loving bond that every pet and human deserves to have. Emily and Felix are most definitely lucky to have each other in their lives!
Emily, thank you so much for allowing me to capture these special photos for you and Felix. You two are a joy to have in my life, and I am forever blessed by your friendship! I can’t wait to see what adventures you and Felix have together in the coming years!
