Excited splashing and laughter as the water bubbles and trickles down the creek. Two boys, doing everything boys should be doing in the summertime. Hunting for crayfish and skipping rocks. Faces all aglow in excitement as they cool off in the Summer heat. There’s no better way to spend a Summer night if you ask me.
Watching these two little guys play in the creek is exactly why I wanted to offer creek photos. I have wanted to do these in the past, I just never got around to it. This year I made sure to make the time to make these happen, and these two guys kicked it off exactly how I was hoping. Forgetting about electronics, the news, and everything else in the world and just enjoying this sweet and simple time in the quiet country. We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect setting than this.
These two brothers are the best buddies. They played and splashed in the creek and were the most fun loving and carefree kids you could hope to meet. They laughed and played together, enjoying this time in their childhood. Boys playing in the water just go together so naturally. These two spend a lot of time outdoors, the way kids should, playing in the mud and the dirt, making messes, and smiling all the day long. Luckily for them they have a momma who fully embraces the boy mom life and doesn’t mind the mess one bit.
I really enjoyed seeing their individual personalities shine through. Robert turned out to be one of the fastest little crayfish catchers I have ever seen. He was so quick about grabbing up one after another to show to me. As quick as he would see them crawling through the water, he would swoop down and grab them up, I was quite impressed! Tristan on the other hand, was not a big fan of crayfish. He did excel at skipping rocks though! He was so good at picking out smooth rocks that he could send sailing over the water.
I had such a blast with the whole family, they even brought one of their sweet little fur babies along! We all enjoyed a good laugh when she made her way to the middle of the creek to be in the picture after being set on the creek bed. Everyone in this group looked so good and had a fantastic attitude. I adore working with pleasant and fun loving people like them!!!
This sweet family was so absolutely wonderful to spend the evening with, I couldn’t have asked for a more kind and fun group to photograph! This shoot was everything I was hoping for and brings back all the simple joys of Summer. I am so thankful that this “job” allows me to spend my time laughing and playing with all these joyful people, nights like these I feel extra blessed. Thank you for allowing me to capture this special time in your lives, moments like these are so fleeting and I am so honored to do my part in freezing them in time forever.
