I absolutely love my work as a photographer, but not just for the obvious reasons you might think of.
Sure, I love using my camera to create art and taking pretty photos. But my absolute most favorite thing about being a photographer, is being able to make friendships and watch as the lives of the people I photograph evolve and grow year after year.
Little Billy is the adorable little boy of one of my favorite couples. I had the joy of photographing his parents as a newly engaged couple, as well as their wedding, and then when little Billy arrived, I was able to meet him and capture his newborn photos too! Somehow in the blink of an eye, here we are another trip around the sun and little Billy is already one. It's crazy the difference a year makes, especially when we're talking about a baby's first year!
Little Billy's momma picked out a rodeo theme for his birthday session, and I don't think anything else could have fit his personality better! He had a blast playing on his bouncy horse and cow toys, as well as sitting in one of my old horse saddles. Not to mention, he made the cutest little cowboy in his perfect little outfit! Billy got to enjoy all the fun things for his birthday photos and I think it shows in the photos.
Little Billy had no problem whatsoever flashing his precious smile and laugh during his photos. You can always tell when a little one is raised in a loving family, it always shows through and I could see that in little Billy. He was so happy and easy going, with no fear and ready to explore the world around hi like nobody's business. If every child was as lucky to be so loved as little Billy is, the world would be a much better place.
Billy, being able to watch you and your family grow is one of the greatest blessings. I hope you had the best birthday, and can't wait to see what this year brings you. Happy birthday Billy!
