I always love getting to meet expectant mothers to be.
They always have that unmistakable soft glow about them, the joy that comes with carrying a little one and the anticipation of meeting that baby is one of the most undeniably beautiful things in this world. Alley may have been in her second pregnancy, but she still carried that beautiful glow with her.
Alley was in the home stretch of her pregnancy when I had the joy of meeting her for her maternity portraits. You never would have known how close she was to her due date though to look at her, she was so at ease and so peaceful during her session. She didn't show a shred of discomfort or look overly tired in the least the way some of us feel when we reach that point in pregnancy. She waltzed around like it was just any old day, not like she was in the final weeks of pregnancy! Talk about pregnancy goals right there!!
As I mentioned, Alley was expecting her second child, another precious little girl, and I also had the pleasure of meeting her first child! Little L seemed quite excited to be a big sister, and had no problem at all loving on her momma. I can tell you that the little sister that Alley was carrying is going to be so extra loved in this family, because she doesn't just get blessed with parents that love her, but she is also getting a big sister that will simply adore her! It seemed only fitting to sneak in a few quick family photos, some of their last as a family of three before the new arrival!
I probably shouldn't have been too surprised to learn that Alley is a teacher. With her calm demeanor there is not a doubt in my mind that she is an incredible role model and teacher to the kids that she educates everyday. She was so soft spoken and had the most kind aura about her, the kind of personality that kids need on hard days that they all face as they are growing up. Both of Alley's daughters will be so lucky as they get older, knowing that they can always come to the arms of their momma who loves them through thick and thin.
Alley, I had the most wonderful time meeting you and your sweet family for your maternity session. You were the most radiant momma and your girls are so lucky to have you!!
