Alayna Fall~Class of 2023

Senior, Milestone

Like the ever changing colors of Fall, Senior year is a time of many changes for students as they prepare to end their years of high school and begin the next chapter in their life.

It comes with big decisions about the future which don't always come easily, but for Alayna, she has her plans and has already set them into motion!

Alayna knew going into her senior year that she had an interest in nursing and helping people. For her, it only made sense to take advantage of the opportunity to attend the vocational tech school offered to her to get a jump on learning about nursing. Rather than waiting for college to get started on the next chapter of her life, with her go getter attitude she decided to dive in while still in high school! Her positive and hard working attitude are one of the many things I have come to admire about Alayna in getting to know her as one of my spokesmodels for this year!

During our session, Alayna shared about how her schooling was going and that she was learning about things that she never would have thought she would. Things like the correct way to make a hospital bed and tuck the sheets. Personally, I wouldn't have thought that there was a right or wrong way to make the bed, but as with all things, you have to start with the basics! I think it's awesome that opportunities like this are available to students so they can learn how to pursue careers that interest them, and break from the standard one size fits all learning. Plus, Alayna will have the opportunity during high school to earn her CNA and either take that certification right into the work force, or use it to help cut down on time at college! It's a total win win all around!

By sheer luck, the stars aligned and we were able to get together in the peak of the Fall color for some epic Fall photos. We met up at one of my favorite spots, Dries Orchards and the color was absolutely phenomenal! To top it off we enjoyed a brief bit of beautiful golden hour lighting and very mild Fall temperatures. It's my strong opinion that you can't beat taking photos on a warm Fall evening, surrounded by beautiful colors, with one of the sweetest seniors you could ever meet!

Alayna, photographing your beautiful self continues to be an absolute joy! I can't wait to hear all about the rest of your Senior year in the Spring!!
