A February for the Firsts: Part 3

First Birthday

Sweet little chubby cheeks, such a difference from the teeny tiny baby I met a year ago. So many things have changed, but there are some things that have stayed the same. She still has beautiful dark hair, an adorable face, and is still so happy and easy going. The last of the three little girls that are turning 1 this month.

I met Aeriella as an itty bitty newborn for her newborn photos. She was the most pleasant, happy little baby I had ever met, and so small! She slept through her entire 3 hour newborn session(which is a total dream for photographing newborns!). I could hardly believe it had already been a year when we scheduled her first birthday session. She had grown so much since that first portrait session, I could hardly believe my eyes!

Her blue eyes are now a beautiful shade of brown, and her dark hair is much longer with a curl to it. And how cute are those little top of the head ponytails! And she already has some sass to her! I got to witness her sassy face a lot during her birthday session, and it made me laugh so hard every time! She may not have been a huge fan of the cake at first (she doesn't like to get dirty) but she got into it by the end. And as long as the mess wasn't on her hands it seemed to be ok by her! She managed to cover every inch of her legs in icing before she was done. The cake was another beautiful creation by my cake girl Kira! But Aeriella's favorite part by far was the bath time. She went right to splashing and laughing in the tub. And this little miss independent took her washcloth and scrubbed herself clean! The world better watch out for this one, because she can do it all and all by herself!

I can hardly believe how much you have grown and changed little miss Aeriella! It's so crazy to me that the tiny baby I rocked to sleep and photographed is already ONE. You are certainly going to go places, I can tell that already! Your independent and feisty attitude is already shining through, and as long as your family can survive the teenage years, you are going to grow up to be a great woman. It has been so great seeing you grow this past year, I can't wait to see what the future holds for you!
