A February for the Firsts: Part 1

First Birthday

A tub full of bubbles. Smiles and splashing. Splish splash, water drips onto the floor. Happy giggles from one of the sweetest and most innocent little babes. It's her birthday. The day she turns one, the day she moves from being a baby to a toddler. Sweet little Ember, enjoying every bit of her birthday and the photo shoot that was planned for months, just for her, just for her to enjoy. Her's was the first of three very special little girls to turn one this February.

I had the wonderful joy of meeting Ember when she was a few months old. Seeing her glowing and joyful face has been a highlight for me many times since our first meeting. Like the rest of her family, she is always smiling and happy, easy going, and downright adorable! From her cute little Christmas jammies, to the prettiest little girl dresses, she is always dressed up to impress (compliments of her momma's great eye for fashion!)

Ember has certainly been a blessing in my life as I have watched her grow and change. I even got to see some of those early shaky steps during her first birthday session. Ember had a fun, one of a kind Winter wonderland theme for her birthday. And her cake from Playing with Sugar was just as unique, and it looked quite tasty too from where I was sitting. I think it's safe to say that Ember really loved every bit of her cake smash session. Once she realized that all that cake was for her, she sure dug in! Icing from head to toe, as it should be for a little girl on her first birthday.

After she had all the time she wanted to devour her cake, Ember got to enjoy some clean up time in a sudsy bath. She may never have had a bubble bath before, but once she realized that there was water under all those bubbles, she went straight to splashing around. Ember loved sliding and spinning around in the tub, washing away the icing, but certainly not the memories.

Sweet little miss Ember, it was a blessing to share your first birthday with you and watch you grow these past few months. I have no doubt that you have a bright and wonderful future and can't wait to see what it holds for you!
