The melody of Baby Shark fills the room, entertaining the littlest one present. Her sassy and sweet smile hints at both how loving and adorable she can be, and mischievous all at the same time. Peeking behind her very own sunglasses, like a miniature version of her momma, she looks so grown up already. The passing of time moving so quickly before our very eyes.
Sweet little miss Harper’s first birthday celebration may have been scaled down and not all that was planned due to COVID, but thankfully her birthday photos were not. Harper was able to enjoy a beautiful Winter “Onederland” birthday theme, and it’s honestly one of my favorites for little girls with Winter birthdays. Thanks to her momma’s planning, she even enjoyed a little extra personalization, from her extra special birthday banner to her cute custom outfit, she had all the things for her birthday session! With a birthday falling right on Christmas eve, this was perfect for the adorable miss Harper.
Harper is a total mini version of her momma, from her looks to her sassy attitude, there’s not much on the surface that she appears to have gotten from her dad at this point (sorry dad!). She certainly can make everyone laugh with her looks and her strong will. Harper’s strong will and sassy personality are sure to change the world someday, her parents will just have to survive it for the next few years! I always love it when kiddos have strong personalities, you just know they are going to do big things! To hear Harper laugh and giggle will make anyone smile, it’s so infectious and full of joy! One of the things that made me laugh was how she would go from excitedly bouncing and dancing to Baby Shark, to the most unamused look in a split second. She can be so serious sometimes for such a little girl!
One thing that Harper didn’t get from her momma was her lack of love for cake. Her mom and I LOVE our sweets, so we were both quite surprised when Harper wasn’t quite as into her cake as we thought she would be. She made a mess anyway, and while it wasn’t a very big mess, I will say she is the first kiddo I have had sit their butt in the cake for their birthday! Leave it to Harper to be as unique as possible!
Harper’s favorite part of her birthday photos, was her bubble bath! This is always a big favorite among the kiddos that enjoy their tubby time, once they realize there’s water under all the bubbles anyway! Harper definitely had a blast splashing water everywhere and playing with the bubbles and all the features of the tub. We all had a good laugh watching her play and entertain herself in the water. All in all I think Harper had a pretty enjoyable time for her birthday photos.
Sweet miss Harper, watching you grow up this past year has been such a blessing to my life. Your personality always brings a smile to my face and the faces of those around you. I can’t wait to see what the coming years have in store for you as you grow up! Hopefully next year you can have the big birthday celebration you deserve!
