Brittney and Christian's engagement session almost didn't happen on this beautiful evening. Some much needed rain finally decided to let loose from the heavens that afternoon and it was looking like it was going to be a complete wash out for the evening. We nearly decided to re-schedule, but then at the last minute the clouds parted and the sun came shining through for the most magical and lovely light a photographer can hope for in a sunset session. It made for a gorgeous setting for these two happy love birds.
Christian is actively involved as a volunteer firefighter, so it was no surprise that the start of their engagement session featured some shots with the Lower Augusta Fire company truck. He even showed up early so he could make sure the truck was all polished and shined bright like a diamond. This was a lot of fun for me and a change of pace from my usual. It also gave me some new fun ways to show off the lovely engagement ring that Christian gave Brittney when he asked her to be his bride!
The spot these two picked out offered a really great variety for them as not only was the firehouse there for the start, but there was also a really great field nearby. Having grown up in the middle of nowhere and still living in the same general area, I am always at home in the fields and the woods! The light for these two was just absolutely stunning and watching them twirl and spin it was so easy to see how happy and in love they are with each other. These two made it so easy to capture the joy and love they shared for one another because it shone all over their faces.
Brittney and Christian, I am so honored that I got to meet you two and will be able to capture your big day for you very soon. I hope that your wedding if filled with as much love and joy as your engagement session and all the magic, but hopefully not as much rain!
