There's just something special about two people in love with one another. You can see it by the way they look at each other, and by the way the move around one another. It has a way of setting the scene like nothing else. The love that Kaitlin and Brad shared with one another, made everything around them even more magical and romantic than it was already.
Brad and Kaitlin chose to enjoy their Fall engagement session at the lovely Dries Orchards. I could hardly believe my eyes when the time finally arrived for their engagement session. The Summer fruit trees were covered with the most stunning yellow leaves that you could ever hope for, so of course we had to start out there! Brad and Kaitlin had picked out the most perfect attire for their session, I could hardly believe it when Kaitlin told me that Brad had picked out his own wardrobe way in advance! A man who gets involved in his engagement session with his lovely bride to be is both in love with his fiancé and a keeper for sure. I always think it's so wonderful when the men get involved and really get into the portrait session, whether it is with the love of their life, their family, or just by themselves.
These two love birds were worried that they would be super awkward in front of the camera, but they owned their engagement session! They were total naturals and did an amazing job at following my prompts and making every pose I asked them to go into look easy. They were laughing and enjoying themselves in no time when we got the whole thing started. I mean seriously, they made dancing in the middle of an orchard look like a totally normal thing that people do everyday! It could be that they felt more at ease having their best friend and the love of their life right there by their side the whole time. When people are as comfortable, happy and at ease with one another as Kaitlin and Brad were, it shows! Being able to end their engagement session in the dreamy and romantic golden hour light just made everything they shared between them even more lovely.
The engagement sessions that I get to spend with my wedding couples are always special for me, and Brad and Kaitlin's was no exception. I had a blast getting to know them better and learning about their relationship and their family. I love taking the time to photograph my wedding couples prior to their big day so they can become more familiar with me and my posing methods, and so I can become more familiar with them. After chatting with and photographing Kaitlin and Brad, I can tell they share a love that is uniquely their own. They have such a fun and exciting energy about them, it's impossible to be around them and not be happy and laughing with delight! People like Kaitlin and Brad, are the best type of people to be around! They are such kind and fun individuals, and together they bring an amazing time!
Kaitlin and Brad, I am so very excited to capture your big day next year and am thankful that I had this opportunity to meet you both. You both made my job so easy and were a joy to photograph. The love you two shared showed through so beautifully, and I can't wait to see you both glowing with love for one another on your wedding day!!!
