A bouncing baby boy full of life and energy, eyes wide awake taking in all the world to see. His big brother, so proud and excited to have a little brother, happily jumping to help with his baby brother at any chance. The special bond between brothers already rapidly forming.
I had the absolute joy of meeting little Valen and his big brother for Valen’s newborn session. After photographing so many premature babies this Summer, Valen seemed so big in my arms when I was trying to swaddle him. Valen decided he wanted to be awake for almost his entire newborn session. He certainly gave me a run for my money as he kept breaking free of my swaddling and wanted to look around and move in the worst way. Even though he was awake the whole time, he was still a fairly content baby, he just let me know when he was done with a set!
Valen was definitely a cutie pie with his full head of hair and his chubby little cheeks! I know I am far from being the only one who adores sweet little babes with chubby cheeks, although I do refrain from pinching them unlike some people hah!
Valen’s big brother was equally adorable. He was so well behaved and it was easy to see that he just loved his baby brother so much! He did so well at holding little Valen and he was all smiles the whole time, not that I blame him with a baby brother as cute as Valen. He even brought along his own toys and played so quietly when he no longer needed to be in the photos, I hardly even knew he was there.
Being able to capture these sweet, tender moments are always so precious to me. Newborn babies change so fast, and I think it’s so important to be able to freeze those moments to look back on forever through photos. I love that what I do allows me to meet so many wonderful people, like Valen and his family, and that I can be a part of giving them something so precious. This is truly one of my favorite parts of what I do.
Sweet little Valen, I am so happy that I got the opportunity to meet you at such a young age. You are already so loved by your family and are such a wonderful and joyous blessing to their lives already. I can’t wait to see you grow up through my camera lens!
